Biography
Doug writes loads of little short stories based on the orignal LoZ and the cartoon - which I love! That part of the series is closest to my heart so I always get really chuffed when I find other fans who write/draw about it too. He is a writing machine and one of the library's biggest contributors and his stories range from short to multi-chaptered and mini-series. Some of my favourites include Link's Journal (I'm nosy and love diaries hehe!) and the pirates inspired Hearts on the Sea.

My Feelings on the Legend of Zelda Cartoon and Comics My Two Theories
Quick Q&A
1. So most importantly, how did you get into the Legend of Zelda?
Back in 1989 The Super Mario Brothers Super Show came on. It was live action with a Super Mario Brothers Cartoon. Legend of Zelda cartoon came on Fridays and every Friday I would hurry home just to watch it. I loved it, Link saves Zelda or they both save Hyrule. While not overly great in my opinion, a lot of fun at the time.
2. And what's your favourite game in the series?
The original Legend of Zelda
3. Why did you choose The Legend of Zelda to devote so much of your creative energy to?
It just seemed like something fun to do.
4. What are the main influences for your work?
The cartoon and the comic book.
5. What is your favourite piece of work you've done, and why?
Zelda's Apology. I felt that someone should have done a follow up to the White Knight episode.
6. Who is your favourite character to write/draw, and why?
Link, he is a great warrior and easy to write about even if I were to do one far in the future in his life.
7. Are there any fan writers/artists that you admire?
Juliet Singleton is a great artist. I haven't had the time to read all of her fan fics. Second is writer Alexandra Spears, she is very original.
8. How did you find North Castle?
Just sort of surfing and came on it.
9. Why did you decide to post your work at North Castle?
It just seemed like a good idea at the time. I hope everyone enjoys my work as much as I enjoy everyone else's.
10. Finally, any plans for the future regarding your work?
Watch this space!
