Zelda's Apology

By Doug

In the aftermath of visit by Prince Facade, Link is still a little ticked at the Princess for how she behaved towards him. She hasn’t really said she was sorry for the way she acted by completely ignoring Link. At the end of a sunny afternoon Link is looking out over his veranda admiring the beauty of the sunset. Suddenly there is a knock at the door. The adventurer says “Who is it?” The voice on the other side says “It’s me, Zelda.” “Come on in.”

“What are you doing, Link?” Zelda asks. “Just admiring the beauty of this afternoon, why do you ask?” “I just wondering, we haven’t really talked much since Prince Facade left and I wanted to say something to you.”

“There’s really nothing to say, you said what you thought after I rescued you from the zola that tried to kidnap you.”

“But there is. You are my friend and I didn’t treat like a friend while Facade was here and I was wrong for that.”

“Ah, don’t worry about that.”

“But I do worry; see Spryte told me you were planning to leave that evening after I laughed at you. I’m…I’m sorry for that as well as everything else that took place between us in negative way.”

“I wasn’t too happy with you Zelda, but I guess my future is here at least until we recover the Triforce of Power from Ganon.”

“That’s another thing I wanted to talk to you about. When we do finally get the Triforce of Power back I.I.I don’t want you to leave I want to stay on.”

“Come on Princess, I am an adventurer this castle life would be to boring to me if I didn’t have an adventure to go on or someone to fight. I wouldn’t be able to handle it.”

“Link, I.I really care for you a great deal and don’t want you to leave.”

“Zelda that almost sounds like you may love me.”

“Link, I do but only a little don’t let it go to your head.”

“I guess I can stay on after Ganon if only for you. And one other thing I forgive for the way you treated me with regards to Prince Façade, but please don’t bring his name up again okay.”

“You’ve deal and thanks Link.”
