Biography
Link_fan often teams up with her best friend and other NC contributor Zelda_girl and together they've co-written some really funny stories like Foreign Invader. Link_fan also helped Zelda_girl out in her romance series for one of the stories, Darkness of the Heart. As well as drawing she can even act so don't forget to check out the hilarious Kazoo of Time movie! My favourite piece is definitely Make A Wish - I love romance!

Quick Q&A
1. So most importantly, how did you get into the Legend of Zelda?
It's a really roundabout story. A while back, zelda_girl decided to teach me how to play Super Smash Brothers Melee, mainly since at that point I didn't like video games and she wanted to share a common interest with me. Since I had no idea what I was doing, she suggested I play as Link since her favorite character was Zelda. A long time of me questioning her about who these characters were (I didn't recognize them as quickly as say, Mario or DK) led her to try to explain The Legend of Zelda to me, and she once let the fact she had a N64 somewhere in her attic slip, along with Ocarina of Time. I remember spending an entire day helping her look for it, since she wanted to play it again, and eventually finding it somewhere underneath a bunch of stuff that hadn't been seen since the early 90's. Beginning that day, she convinced me to help her through the game since I am good at solving puzzles, and I liked the storyline so though I never got to play a Zelda game until I was 11, I became obsessed.
2. And what's your favourite game in the series?
Probably a tie between Twilight Princess (being a werewolf, running around on the ceiling) and Ocarina of Time (hard to beat a classic)
3. Why did you choose The Legend of Zelda to devote so much of your creative energy to?
It was an accident. Whenever my sister (navi) , zelda_girl, and I all got together and played Melee, zelda_girl had an annoying habit of hitting the pause button and I would make comments about how everyone had been paused. After I gained a little more Zelda related knowledge, I started to write. Since she liked it and my sister liked it, I began to write Zelda fanfiction. Not to mention, as a kid, I had way too much spare time and needed something to do, anyway.
4. What are the main influences for your work?
Everyday life is a definite influence, as many of my friends can see their own personalities reflected in the characters in my work and I just find everyday life amusing.
5. What is your favourite piece of work you've done, and why?
Hm...though I consider "Make a Wish" to be a huge accomplishment, considering I never finish most things I start to write, Foreign Invader is definitely my favorite work. It involves my favorite cartoon character, my favorite video game, I've gotten lots of nice comments on it, and it was fun to write.
6. Who is your favourite character to write/draw, and why?
Link is my favorite character to write about since his personality is barely developed in the games...there is so much you can do with him. My favorite character to draw is Wolf Link, because I can't draw humans as well as animals and he reminds me of my dog. :)
7. Are there any fan writers/artists that you admire?
Hm...other than the fact that I admire zelda_girl for putting up with my first shot at a romance story and for coping with my hyperactiveness whenever she decides we need to write a comedy, I don't think I do.
8. How did you find North Castle?
zelda_girl sent me a funny picture and I asked her where it was from. She said it was from North Castle, and the moment I first found the webpage, I was hooked.
9. Why did you decide to post your work at North Castle?
Being goaded by friends who want to read my work definitely helps. (Ha, ha) Anyway, it's kind of cool to be able to say you have your work published on a website.
10. Finally, any plans for the future regarding your work?
A sequel to Foreign Invader is coming as well as some other things I just need to type up and submit. Also, I have survived an advanced English course and I now have better skills at writing in general, so I have a feeling the best is yet to come.
