General Info
Name: Megan O'Shea Location: NJ, USA Category: Writer Contact: En4sa@aol.com
Biography
When Megan submitted her first short 'The Sister' to NC many years ago when the website first began, I knew there was something I liked about her writing. With subsequent tales such as 'The Quest' and 'The Tempest' I really got into her characters - my favourite of course being the wonderful Mira! Not only has Megan done her own stories she's also expanded on some of mine and Kirsty's characters, writing wonderful shorts like 'Kylara: A Tale Untold' and 'Mara: Unholy Midnight' . She's also helped write character biographies for NC and contributed a lot of lovely fanart too. Megan is extremely talented in her writing and I'm sure we'll see lots of great things from her in the future!

Quick Interview
1. So most importantly, how did you get into the Legend of Zelda?
I was 7 when my cousin introduced me to Zelda on the Nintendo. I got a Link to the Past when I was 10. The rest, as they say, is history.
2. And what's your favourite game in the series?
It's a toss between Link's Awakening and a Link to the Past, I think.
3. Why did you choose The Legend of Zelda to devote so much of your creative energy to?
I found the old ZHQ back in 1998. Thought it was interesting and thought maybe I could submit something there. Although that didn't happen right away, it got me started into writing fanfic.
4. What are the main influences for your work?
Anything and everything—life, TV, music, etc.
5. What is your favourite piece of work you've done, and why?
Aw, jeez. Uh, I've done a few. The one that stands out has to be the fanfic I submitted to BotU, 'Pathway to Darkness.' I did that when I was 16, and a lot of people still comment on how much they like it even today, about seven years later.
6. Who is your favourite character to write/draw, and why?
I used to like writing about Link. I guess the way I saw him and decided to portray him was entertaining for me. Zelda was also fun to write about, because the way they played off of each other when I was writing.
7. Are there any fan writers/artists that you admire?
I like Juliet and Kirsty's fanfics, and as far as artists go I enjoy Reapers' Ritual's stuff and Becky.
8. How did you find North Castle?
I think I found it in Google when looking up Zelda sites.
9. Why did you decide to post your work at North Castle?
The first time I visited NC, it gave me a really good vibe. Also, Juliet was very nice to a n00b like me, so that's a definite plus.
10. Finally, any plans for the future regarding your work?
I think I'm going to try and get myself published in fiction magazines. Once in awhile, I'm going to try and cook up a stray fanfic or two to submit here when I get time.
