NOTE TO READERS: This story is a direct sequel and continuation of "The Biggest of Lies". You must have read that story in order to understand the context behind this one. I also need to give a warning about this story. "The Darkness Within" is very different from my previous work. This story is very dark, depressing, and may be disturbing to some readers. Although it is not violent, not gory and has no sexual topics of any kind, this does deal with a very serious subject (I won't say what it is now, because it would ruin the story).
